23 Minutes in Hell is amazing. This man is talking about his experience that God gave him about sending him to hell. It also talks about his experience of Christ bringing him out of hell into His Almighty Presence. I believe whole-heartedly in this man's story. While he was in the Lord's presence, he was told why he was sent there. The Lord wanted him to inform everyone that there is a hell and that the Lord is coming "very very soon".
I, again, believe this man's story. Why, it is completely backed up by Scriptures and other people's experiences. I know we all know there is a heaven. We have been taught that since we were children. But in all honesty, we weren't taught much about hell. I remember in my church that I basically have grown up in my entire life, I cannot recall a sermon that completely talked about hell. I don't know if it is because of fear or rejection of the church goers or what. I really don't know. But I believe that hell should be preached about. I don't want to go to hell by no means!
"For hell is viewed by our Lord Jesus Christ not as 'made for man,' but 'made for the devil and his angels.' Humans as such were made for fellowship with God and for eternal glory. That such creatures should be banished forever into the outer darkness with no escape exit, should fill us with a sense of horror." ~Sinclair B. Ferguson.
"Hell is going to be eternity filled with grief and pain, an unquenchable fire, according to the Bible." ~Franklin Graham.
"Satan...will do everything in his power to hold people captive in sin and to drag them down to the prison of eternal separation from God." ~Billy Graham
Hell isn't the place I want to be. And I doubt you don't want to be there either. The end is coming. I can see that. I have read the Bible and I am aware of the signs. I know we will never know "the day" (like everyone likes to say they do). But what is the harm in preparing for the day so we can for sure know that we are walking the correct path toward our eternity with our Savior.
So, you have two books. One about hell. One about heaven. Trust me...you do not want to wait around and blow it off. GET THE BOOKS AND READ THEM! After reading them both, my life has completely changed even more. By no means, am I perfect (nor will I ever be). However, I will live my every day life, doing the best that I can to be Christ-like. I urge that you all do too. If you do not know Jesus, please find a preacher, a friend, someone to help guide you to ask Christ in your heart and to forgive you for your sins. For those of you who have been on and off the path, due to stumbling blocks, bad days, temptation...you are not alone. There is hope. We serve a very FORGIVING God! We just have to ask for forgiveness and do our best to repent from our wrongdoings.
Here is an excerpt from the book 23 Minutes in Hell:
"The Bible says, 'For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, least anyone boast' (Ephesians 2:8-9)'...It is your rejection of the provision (Jesus) for your sin that sends you to hell. We all have a free will, and we can choose not to repent. In Deuteronomy 30:19, God says, 'I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life'. Jesus said, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life: no one comes to the Father except through Me.'(John 14:6).Will you believe Jesus? Or will you reject Him? By choosing to do nothing, you have already made a choice. You choose death and hell forever. There are no 'fence' positions. In John 3:18, Jesus says, 'He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.' ...It is your eternity you are dealing with. Some may think that they have done too many things wrong in the past and that God could not forgive them. The Bible clearly says that God has plenty of mercy for everyone. Psalm 86:5 says, 'For You, Lord, are good and ready to forgive, and abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You.' He will forgive all your sins the moment you ask, and He will remember them no more."Along with the above excerpt, the author also gave the reader a prayer to receive Jesus as their Savior. Here that is:
"To receive Jesus as your Savior, please pray something like this: Dear God, I confess I am a sinner. Thank You that Jesus took my punishment upon Himself when He died on the cross for my sins, and then rose from the dead, defeating death. Today I repent and place my trust in Jesus Christ alone for my salvation. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen. "After that prayer the author goes on to state this:
"If you have prayed this short prayer, then you have made the wisest decision you will ever make. Begin reading your Bible, starting with the Gospel of John. Find a Bible-believing church to attend, and go and tell someone what you have done, as Jesus said to do in Matthew 10:32. Pursue Him, and you will fulfill your purpose in life."I know that hell and death are scary subjects. But in my opinion, hell is way more scarier! I am not afraid of death. I know, because of my changed heart, my walk with Christ, and my relationship with Him, I will be celebrating my death by being with my Lord. I really hope and pray that y'all pick up these two books and read them. I pray that they change your life and pushes you towards the main goal of having a relationship with our Maker. He is, and always will be victorious. I want to be aligned with Him. He is coming very soon. I want to be ready. I pray that you do as well. I felt the need to share my thoughts, don't know why...but I did...and I am happy about doing so. I pray that I reached someone out in cyber-land to pick up these books, grab a Bible, and come to Jesus. He is waiting. He is joyful for all the people who do follow Him, but it hurts Him and He grieves for every lost soul that Satan wins over. Satan is only here to steal, kill, and destroy. Christ is here to give us the truth and the only way to heaven. Satan provided an everlasting ending filled with torment, pain, and everything horrible that you can imagine and even can't fathom to imagine. Christ is here to give us eternal life with Him full of love, care, nurture, and blessing that you would be overflowing with. I know where my heart is leading me.
"It is our bounden duty to warn sinners of their fearful peril. To remain silent is criminal." ~A.W. Pink
So here is my warning. Hell is for real! Satan is for real. But thankfully, Heaven and Christ are real. Christ will overcome hell and Satan. Whose team do you want to be a part of?
